I've heard Donna say many times that where there is > depression -the energies are not crossing over. " Depression, Energy, & The Thoughts That Produce Them! " Hi Barbara Ann, Nice post. I'll add a bit more if that is okay? Yes, energetically that is correct. And by doing those energy drills you will get then running correctly for the short term and there is much else you can do. Here's some. First, depression is NOT caused by the energies running up and down. The energies running that way are the RESULT of the thoughts! It's a result of Triple Warmer overdrive, with all of it's protective " negative " repercussions to the Meridians, to the Radiant Circuits, to the Charkas, etc. So, fixing the energies without fixing the thoughts is short term at best. So what are the thoughts that cause that? It's a certain way of thinking that causes the energies to run up and down, which do increase the risk of illness. The formula is " thought influences the energy flows, which affect the health of the body, organs etc. " In psychology this is called " attributional style " , which is a pessimistic style of thinking. This style of thinking has 3 components. Component #1. People who use this style assume any misfortune is their fault. So much self blame, and they generalized by taking all of the responsibility. Component #2. They tend to think the situation will persist. They think nothing is going to change. Life will always be that way. Component #3. They think it will affect every thing they do. This triple pessimistic pattern of thinking is known as ISG (Internal, Stable, Global), and it leads to something called " learned helplessness " ...giving up because it seems as if nothing will make a difference. This can be a lethal pattern, leading to depression and a feeling of general helplessness, and brings an increased risk of illness. > This is a very important practice. > Do this 3 times a day. Yes, all well and good. But if someone is " catastrophizing " , the energy results will only work for a minute or two. Following is the strategy of " catastrophizing " . 1. Blame yourself. It's your fault. And it happened because you are you, and things like that always happen to you and nothing you do can change it. 2. Think that things will always be this way. Nothing will change. Nothing you can do will make a difference. 3. Expect it to affect everything you do. And, if things do go well, then reverse this procedure: 4. Tell yourself it's just a lucky break and nothing to do with you or let other people take all the credit. 5. Tell yourself it will not last. 6. Expect it to have little or no effect on the rest of your life. Part II, or, " How-to-Fix those thoughts and those energies within 10 minutes " , to come soon, if anyone is the least bit interested. Knowing you have a flat tire does not fix the flat tire. Please notice how the above statements are very similar to the original poster's statements. There is/are many solutions.
