Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I just joined the group and of course have tons of questions, but let me tell you about my experiences with acupuncture. I have been seeing an acupuncturist for a year for allergies and endometriosis, and also for the infertility that comes with endo. I recently started feeling worse when my treatment course was changed and I started new herbs. When I went for a second opinion, I was told I was on too many herbs and too many needles. My acupuncturist had me on 3 different formulas (stagnant liver chi, congealed blood, and kidney tonifying) and would do up to 25 needles at a time. The more reading I do, the more unusual this sounds. It seems that a course of treatment of herbs usually is more like 3 months and only 6-8 needles are done at a time. My 2nd opinion said my chi was confused. I am thinking of taking a break, but I don't want to backslide, and I don't think I want to continue with my current practitioner. I was hoping for some thoughts about my treatment and what I can expect from a different practitioner. I am willing to give more details so that you can help me, so feel free to ask questions if I left stuff out. I am very anxious to get pregnant, and I have been doing everything right for so long, or so it seems, that I can't let the acupuncture make me feel worse at this point. Thanks!
