Guest guest
I have begun moderating new members' posts on my groups, because this started happening there too. When new people join, the messages go to you for approval--if they don't ever post, you don't have to do anything; if they post " real " messages, you can take them off moderated status, and if they just post junk links, you can delete them and they won't go to the whole group. That might prove to be difficult on a busy list--but it's a thought. Not all of the members will be moderated, just people who join after you make the change. To do this, sign in to the group; go to Management; scroll down to Posting & Archives and click " edit " . 3rd column in Posting Options allows you to choose " New Members " for moderated status. It won't say that on the homepage, though--it will still say that your group is unmoderated and that all members may post; so it won't chase away any prospective members.
