Hunnn?

Reading a book with NEVER give you hypnosis skills. But doing the hypnosis

drills (scripts) in the books WILL give you conscious hypnosis skills.

Here's how.

Get a tape recorder.

Read the conditioning cycles in the book into the tape recorder in a slow

relaxed manner.

The sit in a chair, with feet flat and hands of thighs, close your eyes and do

the progressive relaxation...

....do the mental relaxation...

....do the 'segment intending'...

....do the 'bring back'...

....and keep doing it until you have TEN HOURS under your belt.

Since each conditioning is about twenty minutes, that means a minimum of thirty

times to get the minimum effective level of hypnosis.

Hi Doc,

Thanks.

I wonder if it was the TM or if it was Ken himself that was responsible for how

he turned out. TM is a tool.

I chose how I wanted to use it. I wanted to be a better student.

What was Ken's intention for using it? Doesn't seem that he was living at

cause.

Yes, I remember reading that Silva offered to give it to the schools for free

and there were no takers. Unfortunate, since I think what he did was brilliant

and effective.

Did they give him credit?

Yes,

There were few studies done in the schools AND always under someone else.

Jose Silva did NOT have educational credentials. He was 100% self-taught.

He did receive an " Honorary Doctor of Humanitites Award " in 1969 from Carr P.

Collins of the Sangreal Foundation for his tailblazing contributions in the

science of the mind and human potential.

On the other hand he did attract some good people that did have credentials that

school systems would approve of.

People like (but not limited to) Dr. J. Wilfred Hahn, Dr. N. E. West, art

professor Dord Fitz, Dr. Richard McKenzie, Dr. George DeSau, Dr. Robert Barns,

blab, blab, blab...

Dr. George DeSau did take the Silva method into the school system and had many

great results in self-assurance, free of guilt, tranquility, relaxation,

stability of ego strength, ego strength, social orientation, trust, cooperation,

enthusiasm, warmhearted, outgoing, blab, blab, blab.

There were also some mind opening studies on performance enhancement through

visualization where some students improved 160%!

Many such positive studies out there is one takes the time to research them.

And in many cases people STOLE his method, renamed it, and then attempted to rob

him of his studies, research and methods of Mind Control.

Like one of his employees, an assistant trainer from England, Alexander

Everette, who was written about ONLY because the author thought Alexander had

more prestigue than did Jose (a Mexican of no educational degrees) who was

totally self-taught and self-educated.

Which is a fantastic comment about self-teaching versus the school systems.

So Dr. O. Carl Simonton the Cancer specialist, learned the Silva Method and its

methods of brain coherence under the name of Mind Dynamics.

Why? Because Jose had not yet won his lawsuit and created a 'cease and desist'

to Everette ever teaching his method or using his name or materials again.

Of course a crook will continue on won't they. Mind Dynamics later led to two

other companies, est and Lifespring.

After investigations for fraudulent representations and practicing medicine

without a license, plus the death of co-owner William Penn Patrick and the

resignation of President Robert White, the company ceased operating in December

1973.

As my daddy used to say, " So many thieves and never enough bullets " .

Of course I'd never say that.

PS. I do recommend very highly the teachings of Jose Silva.
