Guest guest
I've been asked to teach a yoga class for women who want to have babies but have infertility issues. I think the idea is that with stress reduction & relaxation they may 1) get over the infertility, or 2)be able to accept it a little more readily. So, with fertility in mind for them I've decided to add the daily routine to their classes, as well as back flushing the triple warmer, flushing the circulation/sex meridians, & doing the NeuroLymphatics for circ/sex, maybe spleen, too. After reading the back posts, I'll probably include the Brazilian toe technique, too. Any other ideas? Thanks, Kathy
Guest guest
Hi Kathy - Wow. What a great idea. A few questions: Do you expect to have the same women consistently attend the class? (ie can you build their skills?) Do most of them take yoga regularly now, or are they novices? Donna has an advanced dvd set on women and hormones. Have you seen it? You could add chakra clearing -- especially first and second chakra. Exercises to open penetrating flow. Any movement that opens spirit, heart and free-spiritedness (ie receptiveness). Isadore Duncan sorts of movement.... Sometimes yoga can be perfectionistic -- which may tend to support the psychological components of a woman's infertility. Bring down triple warmer (which includes " freeze " -- not just the fight or flight) -- and increase receptivity/openness. Visualization coupled with radiant circuits..... Guest guest
Kathy, I'm teaching an energy class with yoga instructors in the next two days. I know of one who is having fertility issues. Please keep us posted and I will too. Cheers, Troy > > So, with fertility in mind for them I've decided to add the daily > routine to their classes, as well as back flushing the triple warmer, > flushing the circulation/sex meridians, & doing the NeuroLymphatics > for circ/sex, maybe spleen, too. > > After reading the back posts, I'll probably include the Brazilian toe > technique, too. > > Any other ideas? > Thanks, > Kathy >
Guest guest
Helen - Thanks for your response & suggestions. > > Do you expect to have the same women consistently attend the class? > (ie can you build their skills?) The session will be six weeks long so that the particpants will be consistant and can build on what they know. Most of them will be new to yoga.... they really are willing to do almost anything to get pregnant. Hmmm- I see the potential for some private sessions. Thanks for the info on Donna's women's DVDs. I just ordered them. > You could add chakra clearing -- especially first and second chakra. > > Exercises to open penetrating flow. > > Any movement that opens spirit, heart and free-spiritedness (ie > receptiveness). Isadore Duncan sorts of movement.... I plan on emphasizing some circular & figure 8 type movements. Much of yoga is pretty linear, but my dance training & creativity will help a lot! > Sometimes yoga can be perfectionistic -- which may tend to support > the psychological components of a woman's infertility. I don't teach that way, if they have that issue, they brought it in with them! Maybe they could use blinders so they don't compare themselves to others > Bring down triple warmer (which includes " freeze " -- not just the > fight or flight) -- and increase receptivity/openness. > > Visualization coupled with radiant circuits..... Once again, Thanks! Kathy
