Guest guest
A secret is a powerful motivating force. I think the whole idea of a secret triggers a powerful " Toward " meta program. Almost everyone wants to know a secret, some find them irresistible and will do just about anything to learn them and master them. From that standpoint, a secret is also one of the best marketing methods there is, whether you're selling a book, a training, a widget, a religion, or whatever. A secret is anything that's already there and you haven't recognized it, or figured out how it works, or mastered it......yet. Some will spend lots of years and practice under the direction of a Master to master their healing and other secrets. One of the most valuable---and totally free---things I learned right away from being in this group is that if you know the " Magic Question " , know how to use it, how to ask it, know how to get out of the way of the answer, how to recognize the answer when it's given to you and how to act on it, it's impossible for anything to be a secret for long. I've discovered some of my own best kept " secrets " that way. Guest guest
How about the best-kept 'secret' of a secret, is skill? One of my best friends is a chef -- I call him the food god. He is very generous with recipes (chefs are notoriously secretive about their tricks) -- John says, fine with him, what does he care? No one will make the recipe as good as he does! (he's Irish -- so he adds his little Irish cackle He's REALLY fun to cook with. John's secret -- is his skill. (and here is one of his recipes for chocolate mousse crepes) http://www.casablancainternationalevents.com/site/notes/spring/ recipe.html Helen On May 14, 2007, at 4:10 PM, docspeed2001 wrote: > Hi group, > > I've been reading thousands of comment on this site for the past 3 > months, and I'm seeking YOUR opinions about what is `secret' and what > a secret really is or is not. > > Here's a whole slew of definitions. > > Can you take these definitions and tell me what a secret is? > > Thank you, > > " There is no " secret Kenpo.
