Guest guest
Hey Thomas! I also find that the hook up really helps me. I learned a new hook you might want to try. My problem is all my energy gets stucks in my head, to much fire (element). The "new" hook up as a lot more effect on me. Here's how to do it: It's the same thing as the normal hook up, but you put your fingers on two different spots. The first, at the base of your troath/neck, where there is a small "whole". It'S also a triple warmer neurovascular. The second, on the back of your head, in the power point. It's a small indent, where the top of the neck and the beginning of the skull meet. - Also, you know we have different energy systems (ex meridians, aura, chakras etc.). The hookup also helps with a system called the electrics. A fascinating system I am learning more about. The best to you, Olivier http://www.edgejunky.com - greenstuff26 Saturday, April 24, 2010 8:49 PM A question About The Hook Up exercise Greetings all,I've been experimenting with the energy medicine exercises from "The Promise of Energy Psychology" and I'm noticing a few things:1) My body seems to love the exercise called the "hook up". When I perform that exercise/hold those points, I begin to breath deeper and it feels quite good. My breathing becomes even, in other words, I take long deep breaths in and I exhale deeply and long.2) I might have mentioned this before, but I have a tough time whilst in crowds of people. Although not as anxious as I was a year ago when I became aware of this for of energy work, I still feel anxious. I have a instant reaction which grows stronger, and then the feeling subsides in me and I relax. Referring to the "Energy Medicine" text, I'm realizing that this appears to be a issue with my triple warmer meridian. After reading the chapter on the Five Rhythms again, I'm absolutely positive that I am what they refer to as a Water Element. I dislike being in huge crowds of people and I find that sleep really does re-energize me. In reading the description of the hook up exercise, it says that it calms the spirit. It does indeed, for me at least. Are there any other health benefits that come about when a person uses this exercise regularly?I'm finding all of the energy concepts to be very enlightening and very effective.Cheers,Thomas
