good morning

December 24, 2004

It is morning here, and the weather has warmed to a balmy -24c,

yesterday it was -43c with the wind chill factor, such is

winter.This Xmas our family will not have the sunshine of our 14

yrs old nephew who was killed 5 years ago on Mother's Day. Our

father is in the hospital with COPD, prostrate cancer which i

suspect is moving past the shoulders into the lungs. The joy is not

as bright this year, we put on a smile for the young ones, and yet

we are all heartsore. Some where in the middle of it all we remember

the positive energies of those passed over, and the sighes of

sadness are that ever present will become a gentle nudge to peace of

the heart.

I offer the image of a small child who is smiling as he holds hands

with all of the other souls who are watching over us. These souls

wish us to weep in the morning and smile to end the day as we give

thanks for the blessings of health, free speech, food on our table,

a safe home, and the ability to offer the same to others. Take care

at this time of family gatherings, and know that you are loved.

Greetings of peace, quietness of the heart and soul during this
