Guest guest
Could anybody let me know whether it is safe to use acupuncture as a form of treatment for allergies (severe, and anaphylaxis)? Convential medecine nor does anyone really knows the mechanism which can make some react to so many foods and other allergens. In my case, I would like to hear from anyone who reacts to almost any food most of the time. IN other words, one day I can eat an apple, but not the next, but may be able to two or three days later. This applies to all foods. The allergies are serious and leads to swelling in the throat, tongue, angio-oedema, rashes, skin flushing, weals etc.. I cannot take anti-histamines, nor steroids and avoid using the Epi-pen because of cardiac problems. Tests have been negative, but yet the allergic reactions are serious and have been noted. For the last few years, eating has become a gamble because I have not idea what to expect with each mouthful. I do accuppressure points on relevant trigger points on myself before and after eating. I am not sure whether it helps. Rotating diets and everything else I was advised to do by conventional doctors is not working. My diet is now very limited and I am not eating sufficient proteins which is now causing more arrythmias and other nutritional health problems. Furthermore, I am reacting to shampoos, toothpaste, soaps certain types of textile fibres, etc... I would be grateful for advice. Basically, can acupuncture make these symptoms worse? Many thanks Chantal Furst
