Guest guest
> I think this defines your problem. You can't make anyone do >anything. (Note to the readers, his above statement is totally INCONGRUENT with his next sentence!!! See below.) Having fears, doubts & misgivings is NOT whining! The words 'make anyone do' might be accurate (and is certainly NOT socially acceptable), but in the context of what this thread is about it is NOT valid about anyone making anyone else do anything. She just has not yet been given the information in a way that is congruent with HER Reality Strategies (if you don't understand this concept go back to Dilt's book " Beliefs " ). Something as simple as " framing " can be fantastically motivating when it fits HER Reality Strategy for healing, and for being a valid process. Something else as simple as " elicitation of THEIR criteria " (any NLP 101 course will give you this knowledge) will be fantastically motivating to THEM. Sometimes something as simple as Surrogate Tapping on their fears and doubts about the process will remove those internal Neurological Disorganizations and Psychological Reversals (if you need assistance here for clarity go get Dr. Feinstein's book The Energy Psychology Interactive series) so they can make better choices and decisions on their own. None of the above need a good hypnotist, though a good Ericksonian slight of mouth person (I suggest Frame Games by L. Michael Hall) would be invaluable in doing the above. Even direct hypnosis (try David Elman) would be fine if framed in a way that matched her narrow structures of unconscious beliefs. >The ends rarely justify the means. Interesting. That statement is totally INCONGRUENT with your preceding sentence. This sentence presupposes that YOU CAN " make people do things " ... ....which is totally incongruent with the preceding postulates. >You have zero training. So you can't do anything. A nice install of " YOU ARE HOPELESS & NOT IMPORTANT " . And I am curious to why you did that. Your following explanation does not suffice according to any criteria. I'll explain as I go down the post. > Let me explain. Because you have no training you are focused on the juice. And, WHAT IS THE JUICE? It is a SYMBOL of something much BIGGER than 'juice'. In his mind and the minds of many others (Social PROOF) The Gerson Juice is a partial positive cancer solution (read his materials. Much more is healed through his methods than cancer.)that has worked very well many times in the past, is working in the present for many people, and will work in the future. I'm amazed at your deletion of what he is attempting to do... I am amazed at your public belittlement of his capabilities of what he is attempting on his own... I am amazed at your attempt to belittle what he is doing here, which is to GET MORE INFORMATION so he CAN help. I think that is ADMIRABLE BEHAVIOR and I do PRAISE him for that behavior and that care and that compassion. Now, in my opinion, is that the best way for him to help her? No, BUT it's a great start. And he is here doing what he can, with what he knows. It's a great start. And I'll bet that on this list is just one of the places he's gone to to learn more from those that he has decided are reliable (match HIS Reality Strategies). > You think you can make her love the juice and all the problems will >go away. You are so wrong. Actually that is NOT what he said nor is it what he implied. It is a MIND-READ on your part, IE, " this, therefore that " , which is a language pattern of omission and simplistic and inadequate completion, and is not the entire story, but a small portion of the story. The story is about the GERSON METHOD, which does have much more to it than 'juice'. >..., the real problem is that she is uncertain she wants to live. Grabbing for staws here. Again, a deliberate mind-read that does NOT have enough data behind it to verify or invalidate. I personally would invalidate it because " hopelessness " can be resolved with something as simple as showing social proof. And there are many, many, many other ways of neutralizing " hopelesseness " that is ecological and beneficial to those concerned. > People who want to live do not whine about the taste of any treatment. No! Water Elements whine much. Earth Elements whine much. Many profiles talk about their fears, their doubts and their misgivings. To them it is called something much different. It is called " worrying " . So what is the underlying deep-rooted misunderstanding of that worry? >They don't whine about chemo. Everyone whines about chemo. Everyone has doubts about chemo. Everyone has fears about chemo. Even the MD's who use it. The side effects are massive and in many cases 'seem' to be worse than the problem it is supposed to be resolving. For those that have concerns about 'chemo' I suggest they read Dr. Daniel Benor's (Google research him, or go to Amazon) accounts of how he 'blesses' the chemo before giving it to any of his clients. And, because of that 'blessing' there are NO negative side affects. > They don't whine about needles. They want to live and will do anything. Nope. See above. Or research it. They will NOT do 'anything'. They will only do something that matches their Reality Strategies. > This is why you are the worst person to work with her. If you >really want to help find her someone who actually knows what they >are doing. I disagree with the first half totally. Here's why. It's your use of the words " work with " . They can have many different meanings, but in your use of them have very 'narrow parameters'. I would use broader parameters. Caring, consideration, loving and the positive use of the Radiant Circuits is always good for them. But him being the doctor? Nope. Him doing research and finding alternative methods that work for others? Right on. There is another part to it. He then needs to find a health-care professional that is in alignment with HER values, beliefs and criteria, and can EXPLAIN those alternative methods to her in a way that MATCHES HER REALITY STRATEGIES... Then THEY might hit a home run. And that is what he is attempting (sort of) to do on this list. John La Tourrette, PhD
