Hi Lori:

Ain't it wonderful?

Where are they?

I always focus on the dan tien 'resevoir' by creating the BIG OPEN [wu

chi]

Here's a drill based upon Yang Cheng fu's guiding points that I do every

morning and a few times during the day.

It takes one about minute.

After the drill I return to circular breathing allowing the chi to enter

and expand on both in breath and out breath.

The WuChi drill:

CENTER.

Draw your awareness to the imaginary line connecting heaven and earth

through the head, spine, and dan tien, going to the ground between the feet.

Keep the head held as if suspended from above, feet in the ski position

parallel and directly below the shoulders.

Sink the chest and straighten the neck.

Tilt the pelvis up just enough to unlock the knees.

Drop the elbows and sink the shoulders. Relax the waist.

RELEASE.

Using the mind's intent, concentrate on relaxing the muscles and opening the

ligaments and joints. Stay relaxed, open and loose.

SINK.

Sink into the center and ground down through the welling pools at the

instep.

INTEGRATE.

Yi the chi to enter the dan tien from all directions on the in breath.

EXPAND.

Staying totally sung, on the out breath allow the chi to expand from

the dan tien and circulate naturally through all channels and meridians of

the body. Do this for 50 heartbeats.

When you come out of the drill keep your Yi on the state of relaxation of

the body and hold it and return to it often.

You're doing it right when you feel the chi entering, expanding and

circulating on every breath cycle.

Sung.
