<<what is the difference between multi needling and needling based on

pulse diagnosis for treating a disease?>>

There are different theories in Acupuncture, and different ways of

approaching things.

Many Licensed Acupuncturists are taught not only the Acupuncture

points but also the theory and philosophy behind point selection.

To come up with the best treatment plan for an individual patient,

many factors must be considered- Acupuncture is a Holistic medicine,

and as such must take a look at the whole person and their

medical/health history to prepare the best plan for them.

Part of this includes checking the speed, rate and quality of the

Pulses (there is one Pulse position for each of the 12 organ systems)

as well as look for any physiological changes on the tongue. This

give clues on what particular organ systems are being effected/not

working up to par.

These readings, as well as a complete health & medical history allow

the Acupuncturist to understand the root cause of a patients ailments,

and decide the best course of action for it.

There are some people who skip this step, and are just doing trigger

point acupuncture- or looking for sensitive spots. It is not something

I as a Licensed Acupuncturist recommend. There is more to the actions

to Acupuncture than just finding a sore spot on a person.

Hope this helps to clear things up a bit.
