The sad thing of it is that the people ofthe USAare the ones who made McDonald's successful in the first place, but weare not good enough to provide beef. The problem is that South Americans aren'tunder the same regulations as American beef producers, and the regulations they have are loosely controlled. They can spray numerous pesticides on their pastures that have beenbanned here at home because of residues found in the beef. They can also use varioushormones and growth regulators that we can't. Guest guest
Hamburger does not have to be all meat. Processed meat can have the claim 100% Beef if all the meat is beef. but they are allowed to put 4% soy into the meat. This allows a pound of meat to expand to a pound-and-a-quarter. Also, they are required to spray their meat with viral bacteriophages (insecticides) to prevent e.coli infestation of crappy meat.--- On Tue, 2/10/09, Raven <NWRaven wrote: Raven <NWRaven McDonalds 'Meat'...... Guest guest
Why would anyone eat at McDonald's anyway!!! If you look at their ingredients, half of it is chemicals and preservatives. Not sustainable food! Susan Siegel On Feb 10, 2009, at 11:23 AM, Tony De Angelis wrote:Hamburger does not have to be all meat.
