When Doc taught it to his martial arts students, way back about 8 years ago he taught it as a kinestetic, sight, 3rd eye and more synesthesia. This was during the 10 week knife fighting class Doc gave and we were covering mass attacks. So we had o be able to know where and how the next person was going to attack in 1/100th of a second. It is tons more than just peripheral vision. Doc taught us how to attach feeling to the state of hakalau. So even if they changed their mind halfway through the attack we would be able to adjust. I use it all the time to diassociate myself from my " feelings " . Sometimes my opinion gets in the way. Hakalau help put me in the parasympathetic nervous system, AND gives me insights into the person I'm talking to or the project I'm doing. Hakalau used in meditation is amazing! I gain so much more knowledge, notice tons more about everything. >>>>>peripheral vision when you noticed the bright > > > light that is Hakalau is much much more than peripheral vision, and PV is a part of Hakalau. > > >> Donna? Well Doc taught it to us many years ago and I know he doesn't teach what he can't do, so I'm sure he can and does go in hakalau when he wants. > > >> > > >> looking forward to hearing more about the session > > >> Cris > > > > > > Very good, Cris. > > > I'm continually astounded at what you can use the state of hakalau for. Guest guest
Hey Guys: Would it be true to say that one of the advanced versions of Hakalau would be an expansion of peripheral awareness into all the senses auditory, kinesthetic and not just the Visual? If not, I'm wondering, for experimentation purposes,if anyone has any drills that expand ones awareness into the other modalities that works as well as the Visual Hakalau drill?
