To the best of my understanding, both of those sentences are open loops. An open loop (as I understand it) is where you start a topic and fail to finish it. This leaves the reader or listener waiting for something incomplete, and wanting completion. Closure, I suppose you could call it. When my father was a kid, every week the local cinema would show a movie. At the end, it would show the start of next week's movie... Guest guest
Hi Doc, I'd be interested in getting trained in the 7 steps. I have had repeated requests from friends and acquaintences who want me to teach them whatever it is that I have been doing for myself. They see how I've been helped over the past year or so and want to know what's going on, what's the secret? I mention some of the things to them, like the theta/alpha states I've been learning to use over the last year or so and how they can get trained in UM for that. Then EM, the EFT, qigong, and there is a whole LOT of interest. More than I would have ever thought. I mentioned to a lady at a BBQ last weekend that I was going to be taking the five-day EM intensive. She mentioned she had a chronic pain condition. When I explained to her what EM was her face lit up and she said " Oh! You MUST teach us what you learn when you get back! You MUST! " Said she'll bring friends, the women's group from her church, etc.....just let her know when...I thought she was going to bear hug me.... Learning these things was mainly for my own benefit and teaching it was the furthest thing from my mind until I started getting all the questions and requests from people. Not even certain I am the " teaching type " , but you never know till you go do it. A study group would be a good way to teach the EM and EFT. I wouldn't know where to begin, not even certain I have the right qualifications yet, which ones to get....I am feeling the butterflies of TW building up in my solar plexus right now as I think about all this....30 people you say?!.... Anyway, I'd really be interested in the " 7 very important steps " when you decide to teach them. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Cris, Good points. I guess I may have been thinking of the legalities as I wrote that. I see I need to shift gears....a study group is different from a " practice " ...more informal, everyone participates, practices contributes. So...I would be providing the common ground for it to all take place, provide the " focus " for each meeting, demonstrate how to do things, suggest things to work on until the next meeting, keep the motivation up, etc., etc....I think I get it.
