I'm still trying to get a more solid understanding of Elements, and I hope some of the coming answers will help me, but I'll make a few observations. I have noticed that among Dowsers, and other energy workers, some like to use "devices" to do the work/contact Spirit/guide their intuitions. E.g., some use QXCI, some energize things, some use other ways to "read" (which is really tapping into the intuition you already have but don't feel confident about, IMO) Then some started using/teaching "deviceless dowsing." It came full circle back to RV, Intuition.... So, some people want to feel the magic come from outside themselves (blessings, devices) and some people see themselves as inextricably woven into the energy (love, joy). Some people want Mother/Father God, and some want namaste--the God in themselves and others. And some I know feel that they can "bless" with their own divine power. Are wood and metal folks less mystical? Do they doubt emotion and intuition more? Are they empiricists? Do they need "proof?" Do they prefer feeling like they are in control by doing the blessing? Is love too nebulous for them? Nah. It can't be that simple. People are too complex. I await a teacher. Sue www.coachdrgridley.com

Which, honestly, is vague and confusing for me. Kind of like, " imagine them bathed in white light " . WTF? Doing a " blessing " seems much smaller-chunk... Think about the person... Find something about them you admire... Express that admiration or gratitude in words. That I can handle. That makes sense to me. --David Brandt
Guest guest
Well, I don't know what your reasons are. I can bless a tree or a flock of geese or a group of people, all with different segment intendings, and then walk away and still feel good about it / them. But then *I* don't have to take any further action. If / when I love someone, then that is like saying " I have your back " . Then I have to either watch your back and defend it or die trying. I guess with " love " I might make exceptions when I KNOW the other person means something other than what I might mean by the word love. I might tell them I love them to match what they feel. Sort of like the Eskimos have a bunch of different words for snow, but most of us just call it " snow " . I don't know what your reasons are, though, other than maybe it's unthinkable for us to " stomach " what some people might mean by the word " love " . Jim docspeed2001 <docspeed2001 Jun 20, 2005 9:22 PM The difference between " love " & " blessings " ??? Radiant Energies Hi Sue, What I've done for many Wood Elements and Metal elements is have them do a " blessing " instead of the " love " message. They can learn the " blessings " but have difficulty with the " love " part. Now, why have I done that, group?
