Giving Thanks for EFT! Every year at Thanksgiving, we pause and reflect on the things we're grateful for from the previous year. If you're like me, EFT is at or near the top of the list!

One of our biggest needs is for EFT research. This provides doctors and hospitals with the evidence they need to introduce EFT into their clinics. This is a BIG step forward in spreading the EFT word so please consider making a tax-deductible donation this Thanksgiving.

We need help to complete the studies in progress right now, especially the one that helps Iraq War veterans "get their lives back with EFT." While a donation of any amount is much appreciated, we are hoping to find grateful people with the ability to help with larger donations. Here's a web site wherein you can make a tax deductible donation. It also outlines the research projects currently underway. www.SoulMedicineInstitute.org/researcheft.html

Today's EFT Quote: "....unbelievably low cost materials. I don't know about the U.S., but in Canada, one of your DVD sets costs less than one or two therapy sessions - and that's before the generous discount." Debbie Brousseau

Today's Helpful Hint: One way to probe for a "core emotional issue" that may be behind a stubborn physical symptom is to ask two companion questions: (1) When did you first notice this symptom? and (2) What emotional issues were happening for you at or before that time?

Featured Article #1: EFT brings benefits for leaky gut syndrome and ASD (a form of autism): Note that these first class improvements by Gene Monterastelli were all done surrogately. Regarding the ASD he says, Seemingly over night Nathan started speaking in complete sentences and using three syllable words. The only change in those two weeks was the surrogate tapping of the parents. Within three months Nathan's general practitioner had taken him off all of his behavior medications. Jason reported the GP saying, "I have no idea what you are doing, but don't stop." Email Gene and Visit his website

Featured Article #2: 7 Step pre-tapping checklist for client work: Here are some useful guidelines from Maya de Vries (of Germany). She says, "How do you set a frame around an EFT session and at the same time prevent global issue hopping? The 7 step checklist is a great way to achieve this. I advise my students to put the page on their desk next to their writing pad until the steps are set in their minds." Email Maya

Featured Article #3: WHO AM I NOW??? How Identity Issues Block Abundance: Here is a must read article by Carol Look that gets behind the "comfort zone" issues that tend to sabotage most abundance work. She says, "When we start to recognize that we are changing, we always have an "identity conflict" that surfaces --- this means, who am I now that I no longer have this problem? I ask my clients to answer the following questions even before they start to tap, as the answers reveal excellent clues to help formulate their EFT setup statements..." See Carol's workshop schedule and quality EFT products on attracting abundance and releasing pain.

EFT methods: Questions, One-Point-EFT and Mental EFT: This thought provoking article by Miranda Sterling should be of high interest to those looking for shortcuts and seeking ways to uncover core issues. Note that she uses a form of "mental muscle testing" that would likely take a fair amount of practice before mastery could be obtained. Back pain so intense, he had to crawl on his hands and knees: April Roundy gives us motivation to use EFT for even the most intense of pains. In this case, she applies it to her son-in-law whose lower back pains were so severe that he had to crawl on is hands knees instead of walking. Please note the value of persistence here and the approach she used to find out that the core issue was a financial one. Helping my cat Noodle to walk again: Here's another useful case that involves using EFT to benefit animals. This time, Baerbel Froehlin, CHt helps her aging cat, Noodle, with an injury. She says,"When they took x-rays at the Vet's it looked as if she had small bone pieces broken off which could have caused severe pain. The Vet could not understand how she was so much better now and able to walk almost normal!" This is simply priceless to a mother of a 16 year old: Here is a highly practical use of EFT for a very common problem ... a distraught teenager. Vicki Hughes needed to calm her VERY upset daughter who had just received a speeding ticket. As you will see, in a matter of minutes the emotions mellowed and the whole issue became a philosophical one. In Vicki's words, "This is simply priceless to a mother of a 16 year old." Suggested guidelines for professionals regarding an Informed Consent Statement: Psychotherapists who introduce energy methods into their practice are asking their clients to work within a different model than traditional psychotherapy. This piece is designed for you if you are in that position. One way to protect yourself from licensing boards who tend to frown upon "experimental" therapies, as well as to insure that your client understands and is prepared for the unfamiliar methods that will be used, is to introduce "informed consent" procedures when you are orienting a new client.
