Often used in the plural. I've been spending a lot of time in the hospital looking after an elderly loved one. And the prist comes into the room and wanted to help us in our time of difficulity... ....stating he might have some spiritual answers for us. ....So I told him, " Well Ed, I really don't know what 'spiritual' means. So, Ed what does spiritual mean to you? ...and how can you help us with it? " Ed's answer, " Spiritual means whatever YOU want it to mean. " The prist copped out. Which I did think was funny. What could have been a better answer from him to " us " ?
