Guest guest
This is off the subject of your original message asking for help in finding an acupuncturist, but I am wondering if you have ever tried a gluten free diet? It is possible that you may be sensitive to gluten even if you do not have full blown celiac disease. It may not cure you to trial eating this way, but may alleviate some symptoms. Just a thought. More information on celiac disease can be found at http://celiac.com I am not pushing this next doctor's site but felt you might be interested in what she says about the possible wheat/gluten/dairy and crohn's connection. Here is the page: http://www.healing-arts.org/mehl-madrona/mmchrohns.htm In a message dated 1/1/2004 12:04:45 AM Eastern Standard Time, acupuncture writes: Message: 3 Tue, 30 Dec 2003 18:12:29 -0000 " princetonultra72 " <princetonultra72 (unknown) hi. i am a 50 year old female who has had crohns for 15 years. i have lost half of my intestines to surgery. after the last surgery two years ago i begin to look in to alternative medicine (even thou the doctors all said that it wouldn't help and might do harm) and am finding a lot of help through nutrition. several things i have read have lead me to believe that acupuncture might help as well but can't find where to go in my area. i am in the middle of western oklahoma so the nearest place would probably be oklahoma city but can't even find anyone there who can tell me where to look. can anyone tell me how to find an acupuncturist? or is this is something that acupuncture doesn't help. thanks.
