Guest guest
Well, I used to go to one. Normally it was a one time deal. I'd fall wrong, misalign a vertebra, and they'd put it back in. But when I switched from Kano Judo to Okazaki Juijitsu (1958), I was taught how to do it for others in the class, and we would help each other. And when (1973) I went into the profession of running Kenpo Karate studios for a living, I found that I needed more help than before. So I learned more about how to do it for myself and for my clients. At that time one of my prime reference materials was " The Edgar Cayce Handbook For Health Through Drugless Therapy " by Harold Reilly. I still study that resource a couple of times a month and I do recommend it highly for all martial arts athletes. It is a great healing book. I also suggest something else that many can easily add to it. I suggest they take a Donne Eden Energy Medicine 5 day intensive. Inexpensive. Quality training. Teaches valid verification processes. First buy her book, " Energy Medicine " . It's $16.95 at Barnes & Nobel. I've even seen it in used book stores for $5 bucks. That class gives them the basics of helping themselves and in helping their family. You can also study it in-depth and make it a profession. For example, most stress can be relieved within minutes with a spinal flush. Most pain can be relieved within minutes by sedating the Meridian that runs through the area where the pain is. Here's an example. Last week I kinked my neck while sleeping. The vertebra at the top of the spine right under the occipital plate was misaligned. So my neck was frozen (non-moving) in any direction. And the entire right side of the neck along side the spine was fire pain. Hurt. I did (attempted to do) the Edgar Cayce neck drills. I couldn't. The neck would not move through the pain. I did do the hot shower routine, and opened up the Power point, the Master Electricals, and the other meridians running down the back of the neck. Some relief. I needed much more. I stretched the neck with the thumbs, and turned off the alarm points and figured 8'ed the front. Some relief. Not much. So I did the Donna Eden Isometric press in the 8 directions. I found out where it was structurally weak and structurally strong. It helped, but I needed more. During my evening meditation I asked myself the question, " what else can I do? " In the silence the answer that came back was, " sedate the meridian that governs that neck muscle. That meridian is over- energized and that is causing the pain " . So I sedated Stomach meridian. Nothing much happened. Then I went back into meditation. A few minutes in that deeply relaxed theta trance, I heard this BIG CLUNK and felt two HUGE shifts in the vertebra at the top of my spine. I stayed in that deep trance for another 10 minutes. About 4 more minutes into that trance I felt 3 lower neck vertebra shift properly into place. When I got up from my meditation I had about 60% of my neck flexibility back and all the pain was gone. The next day, 100% of my neck flexibility was back. I do have chiropractors as friends. I do send clients that don't want to learn self-help energy skills to them. I do know that many who go to chiropractors have them really as a massage therapist. They just like having their body worked on. Nothing wrong with that. I also know that many professional medical practitioners tend to look at all clients as a " cash cow " , someone that will help them buy that new house, or that new car, instead of helping them heal. So instead of one visit, or a couple of visits, they give you a sales presentation and attempt to use fear to motivate you to sign up for 16 weeks of therapy while you are in pain. While you are in pain is NOT a good time to make monetary decisions.
