Guest guest
I'm wondering about meridian diagrams. I started last June tracing my meridians. Funny how " high " you feel afterwards, it gets even better if you do the celtic weave right after that. Anyway, I first saw how Donna traced them on the DVD, then a few days later I decided to add them to my daily routine, and I used the diagrams in her book. They are easy enough to remember, once you've done them for a week. But the more I practiced them, the more I wanted to be " spot on " . So I often went back to the diagrams. A few weeks ago, I felt it was time to review the 2nd DVD, because I was still unclear about a few routes despite the diagrams. I was a little surprised because Donna was not tracing her meridians in the way I remenbered, and it was occasionaly different from what I was doing, following the diagrams in the book (just ask me if you want me to be more specific). I wasn't that long surprised though, as everybody's meridians, although roughly the same, depend on the personal " cun " (no, this ain't a naughty word!). I thought " This just make it a lot different because it's taped " Yet, comparing the diagrams and the DVD, I found so many discrepencies that I thought better to rely to other sources. I went to the bookshop, checked out a few books and finally bought the one with the clearest diagrams. I believe Doc is not a huge fan of his though, but he really had very good diagrams: Erle Montaigue (with Wally Simpson)'s Dim Mak book. There I saw differences and checked them afterwards with other meridian diagrams at the bookshop. I immediatly noticed other differences from what I had memorized and so went back to the DVD. From there I understood that many of Donna's differences are due to her using her HANDS on meridians, not NEEDLES, hence a few loops (e.g. gall bladder and stomach) which do not exactly follow the meridians but allow for a continuity in the palm tracing of the meridians. I still do have a problem regarding the tracing of the gall bladder. Donna has it running BEHIND the shoulders, and the other sources I've checked so far (more names if asked for) have it run FORWARD. For those of you regularly doing this drill, you know it's as easy either way, so their's a (slight, granted) problem here and I'd like to solve it but I can't see how to solve it. Thanks, Pierre (biting his fingers for not going to Doc's seminar)
