Guest guest
Hello, Cee, Of course, use what you like and disregard the rest. As I read your post, immediately lithium in quartz came to mind. If lithium in quartz is too strong for you, lepidopite contains lithium and might be gentler with you. Amethyst and rose quartz, double terminated clear quartz all bring themselves to my attention as I think about you. My old friend, smoky citrine, reminds me it is a great " grounder " -- I would think you might want to seek a pendant of smoky citrine and wear it so the pendant hangs rather low on your torso -- several inches above your waist is what I see. the best of luck to you! Love, Light and Blessings to us all, Diana
Guest guest
Just a note about bipolar...alot of people don't realize that bipolar is a cousin to epilepsy. anything that an epileptic shouldn't use also applies to bipolar. i have encountered this with aromatherapy and such...not sure if it would apply to crystals or not. denise peace believe ---- cee_pinson 06/26/05 19:28:51 [CrystalHW] Crystals for BiPolar II Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Being BiPolar II and unable to take meds. due to paradoxical/reverse effects I have been looking for stones to help me. I have quite a collection already but would always love a new spirit friend. Guest guest
Try lithium quartz and a kyanite wand to balance you. Citrine or honey calcium to make you happy. Guest guest
Hi Cee, I have Bipolar II also and I don't take meds either for similar reasons. Everyone has different reactions to different stones but stones that have helped to even me out include: Banded Botswana Agate: Looking into the bands cause a release of endorphins. Banded Polish Flint: Similar to above but also has a calming effect. Petalite: Has high lithium content and seems to stabilize brain patterns. Psilomelane: Helps me to focuse better and grounds me. Agates with Magnesium based Dendrites seem to help too. Pink-Lavender Chalcedony Roses. I have been told by a doctor that ADD and Bipolar are similar too. The difference is whether the focus is on the attention span or mood swings. If the attention span is the main problem then ADHD is diagnosed. If the main problem is the mood swings then Bipolar II is diagnosed. Annie , " cee_pinson " <cee_pinson> wrote: > > Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Guest guest
Denise, Since the clinical application for bi-polar is lithium, I would agree with those who posted the use of lepidolite, as that is where lithium comes from. Guest guest
Using Lithium internally is contraindicated for Bipolar people with any thyroid disorders. This is more common than you would think. My Bipolar II was caused by Subacute Thyroiditis. Try being hyperthyroid then hypothyroid then hyperthyroid then hypothyroid. It acts much like Bipolar II. Tourmaline is another Lithium bearing mineral and wearing Green Tourmaline has a stabilizing effect. At least it does this for me. The main sources for Lithium extraction are Lepidolite, Amblygonite, Petalite and Spodumene (Kunzite-Hiddenite). I would not recommend using the direct method of making gem elixers with Lithium bearing minerals. Cee, My father is a bi polar also and yes he uses lepidolite, but he also feels better when he is holding hematite and fushite. I hope these can help you too.
