Guest guest
Thanks for your reply. Sounds like it could be anything. I remember being extremely hungry, I skipped lunch, but I don't usually feel that way when I skip lunch. holmes wrote: > from any one or more of these reasons: > > 1. low bp to begin with > 2. def qi & blood esp latter > 3. inappropriate protocol > 4. deep insertions > 5. many needles > 6. treatment on empty/full stomach > 7. many things on your mind > 8. too cold/ewarm in treatment room > > many more reasons > > bettwer you give some input > > holmes > > Susan wrote: > > Hi, > > > > I had acunpuncture and afterwards as I was walking to my car I felt > > very light headed. Guest guest
It is amazing sometimes that the body can change metabolism so rapidly and heal or sicken itself. Perhaps a few minutes rest after a treatment is a good idea. Susan Catlin <susan wrote:Thanks for your reply. Sounds like it could be anything. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, I went again and had no problem. This time the acupuncturist used fewer needles with no electro-acupuncture. I had no sypmtoms of lightheadedness this time. I also had a full stomach before I went. Guest guest
quite wise to have a friend drive 'groggy' is probably not one should feel, esp on a constant basis should be worthwhile to work this out with the healer in a spirit of healthy information sharing some of the vessels running the route of neck & back have functions which abate dizziness best holmes Michelle D. wrote: > Hi, > I just thought I'd add some input. I see an acupuncturist twice a month for chronic back pain. Sometimes the needles go in my neck shoulders and back, and sometimes just the shoulders and back. I always feel groggy afterwards. And, it does seem to make me hungrier too...and, I have a friend take me & drive me home (just in case). Guest guest
That is one of the thoughts that was running through my head as it was happening. My episodes usually end in a panic attack, so I dismissed it. But who knows, with the electostimulation of the acupuncture it could have been. holmes wrote: > susan, could it have been an episode of petite mal? > > read the link below and check out durations: > http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=3\ 922735 & dopt=Abstract > <http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=PubMed & list_uids=\ 3922735 & dopt=Abstract> > > also what do you take for it? does that have a side effect? > > holmes > > Susan Catlin wrote: > > Especially when you have epilepsy, which I do. > > > > holmes wrote: > > > > > >>its best to work out reason as near as you can > >>light headed could have hit you on the highway or in city traffic > >> > >>being hungered does not sound right > >> > >>in any case best say this to the next acup prof to work on you that this > >>happened > >> > >>fair to you, fair to him her > >> > >>no unpleasant surprises > >> > >>holmes > >> > >>Hoang Ho wrote: > >> > >>>It is amazing sometimes that the body can change metabolism so > >> > >>rapidly and heal or sicken itself. Guest guest
i don't think the elec stim should set it off if it was a p mal it just came on ta this inopportune time should be a good idea to let people who work on you know this so they don't walk into an unpleasant surprise overall it has no real import i would chalk it to that and let it go regards holmes Susan Catlin wrote: > That is one of the thoughts that was running through my head as it was > happening.
