hello, blueskie_09£¬

academically, there is no method generally accepted in China to locate a

acupoint accurately. some people here use descriptions in the college

textbooks authorize by Chiese Ministry of Education to determine where a

point is,and the latest of these books is the 7th edition. you know the

first book to locate most classic acupoints in ancient China is Zhen Jiu Jia

Yi Jing, which is a classic and no doubt a standard, but locations of

acupoints in this book may be different from those in textbooks--there is no

gold standard to affirm where exactly a point exist, that is the reason why

no standard is recognized by most scholars.

on the other hand, in clinic,a same acupoint may be somewhere on the skin of

a man but a little away on another man's skin.a doctor may locate a point

based not only on the depiction in books, but on the response of his patients

as well.
