Accidentally installing?

I have been attending a Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement (ATM)

class at a senior center for about 18 months. The instructor is also

studying Traditional . She regularly, way too

regularly, goes over a rather long list of what might go wrong as we

age such as knees, kidneys, etc., etc., etc.

On Monday, I had enough and told her that she could be installing this

stuff she keeps repeating so regularly. She said she had taken

hypnosis training yet it sure seems like she forgot about

" suggestions " and how things can get installed.

She asked the other attendees and no one else was aware of any

installations. One woman who is diabetic like the teacher is, said she

has not had the same rather severe symptoms herself that the teacher

keeps mentioning. More suggestions?

It wound up that the teacher thinks she is helping us by making us

aware of how our bodies can fail as we get older. She does come up

with some food-related things from CTM () that she

says can help. And she reserves the right to repeat the rather drastic

symptoms again in the future.

If she does, I will probably leave the class for the day immediately.

Enough is enough even though I do like Feldenkrais.

It is a joke that is probably not really a joke, that medical doctors

in training keep getting " symptoms " of different diseases they are

studying.

I will make an effort to be more aware of what I am saying. This was a

good reminder.
