Guest guest
Oh Dear! Antihistamines cause dehydration. I don't know of another treatment for your hives, but I would nix the antihistamine if you still feel dehydrated. Rose - danehere Gettingwell Friday, March 01, 2002 9:37 AM Hives Hello Group: I just got a case of hives from dehydration. The other day I didn't realise I hadn't been drinking many drinks and then I went to the gym to work out. I noticed I wasn't sweating much and ended up getting dehydrated. There was no liquor involved and I'm pretty sure dehydration is the cause. My cheeks and nose are red and swollen but there isn't really what I would call pain or itching. A pharmacist gave me the non drowsy antihistamine Reactine to take. I wonder what else if anything I can do to hurry the healing? Oddly enough I've been getting chills and sore muscles too. Thanks in advance for any helpful hints. . . .Dana Getting well is done one step at a time, day by day, building health and well being.
