Guest guest
We've been having a neat (and sometimes BLAZING) discussion about Theta Healing. Well, My process for learning something goes like this (which is the process I'm going through with TH). 1. Get the books by the primary person. Study them. 2. Go to a seminar and study while there and practice, practice, practice while there. Ask and clarify at all times. Do the drills to get the skills. 3. Check my internal 'bull-shit' detector through BOTH of the above processes. (They REALLY WENT OFF with the trainer I had) In fact I did a 'Donna Eden'. Anyone know what I mean here? 4. If still hesitant because of a conflict between what people day, and what I see them do, and my own experiences... 5. ...And I still 'hope' their processes are valid, at least to some... 6. I then go and buy EVERY DAMN BOOK ON THE TOPIC I can find on amazon, and other book sources... ....(Yes, I do spent quite a fortune on books, DVD's, audios every month)... 7. Then I read, underline, take notes, and find bodies to practice on. Then I notice the results I'm getting and not getting, and then compare those results with where I want to be. If they do not match I ask " why not? " " What else do I need to do " ? And... ....There is really, really, really much very fluff-brain, air-head stuff out there on theta healing. Those air-heads are really doing Theta-Healing a BIG DIS-SERVICE! Their BS (which stands for Belief Systems) is covering any and all good workable methods that Vianna has (in my opinion)... The only two exceptions I've found yet are 'one' book by Vianna (Yes, I do have them all, and the various 'new' and 'improved' editions)... ....and another book by an engineering major out of MIT. It's actually pretty good (Folks, I can MISMATCH ANYTHING) and I do recommend it because it's so much better than the other stuff out there. It does match or beat much of my criteria... (though it is still lacking in the areas of subconscious skills training & valid verifiable energy testing, which he calls by the older name, " muscle testing " ). " Where Science Meets Spirit " by Brent Phillips. His website is; http://ThetaHealingLA.com. Enjoy. John La Tourrette, PhD PS. One of the BETTER healing researchers out there is Larry Dossey. I suggest those who want to really learn and the sciences of alternative healing, get his stuff also. Just for the clarity of his thoughts and the research that he has investigated.
