Guest guest
Hi all! I enjoy lurking and hope to learn a lot from this group. I am very inexperienced with crystals. I recently received a crystal that someone brought back from Copper Canyon, Mexico. They got it from the Tarahumara Indians there. I thought it was a quartz but it doesn't feel like a quartz at all. It's clear- parts of it are almost as clear as glass. It's in a triangular shape and parts of it look silvery or pearlescent. I showed it to someone and they said it was probably soapstone. Then I told them where It came from and they said it could be an awesome piece of Micah. Whatever it is - it is beautiful. Can anyone help? Also if you can also tell me the meaning and what it is used for. Someone on this list recently spoke about using terminated crystals to direct energy. My other crystals could do that but this definately doesn't. - Kim
Guest guest
Hi, I have some very large " Herkimer " diamonds from Mexico. (Now, that makes no sense to me as Herkimers only can come from Herkimer New York, but that's what all the gemsellers are calling them.) They are clear, smooth as glass, that odd shape with the triangular ends, and full of inclusions, some pearly, some almost opaque. Now, all the stones people say are good for remembering your dreams? These are the only ones that ever work. I sleep with the small fist-shaped one in my hand every night. I don't know if this is what you have, but it's what comes to me. I'd scan them in, but don't know how to make it come up on the email instead of an attachment. Sorry. Evelyn

None of the soapstone I've ever seen has had any transparency the Mica as been soft and easily chipped and scratched there are some calcite forms that are clear with pearlescent segments Peggy > -- energy work class info http://home.attbi.com/~skygreen/index.html http://solarraven.com/ Huna, Angels, Crystals, fairies, the aura, Reiki manuals, art http://www.geocities.com/pjentoft/index.html Spirited emotion} http://members.tripod.com/~sunsparrow/index.html
Guest guest
Thank you, Peggy, I didn't notice any other responses. The stone has an energy like it's containing something. There's a very good rock shop around 40 min. away that I need to take it to. In the meantime, I put it on my alter. - Kim Peggy Jentoft <skygreen Wed, 03 Apr 2002 09:26:14 -0800 Re: [CrystalHW] identification Kim Cherry wrote: > Hi all! Guest guest
Hello! I've added a scan of the 3 smoky Herkimers I love - as well as the little regular sized Herkimer on the bottom. It's photo #24. The largest one is my " Goddess " as she looks just like one! Evelyn
