Guest guest
Hi, I am an Acupuncturist, dedicated towards the study & practice of Acupuncture and always keen on sharing experiences and learning more on the subject. I would be greatful, if anybody share any good experience by describing the Acupuncture points to reduce acute pain from the body and also for Cancer patients, especially the pain induced by Metastatic Disease(Bone). Thanks
Guest guest
Ear acupuncture seems to be the treatment of choice of a few cancer clinics I know of. Guest guest
I think you need to be more specific about the " acute pain " . One of the best ways to treat pain is using channel theory. Basically you first have to find the affected channel, then you choose the same channel on the oppostie side of the body. i.e if there's pain on Hand Yang Ming channel, then you treat the Foot Yang Ming. You also have to image the body. wrist to ankle, elbow to knee and shoulder to hip. So if there's pain on LI5 on the right hand, you can choose ST41 on the left foot. What I just mentioned is the very very basic part of channel theory. I can't explain the channel theory completely in the news group, but you can read some books to learn more about it.
