Flow in meridians

I am just learning TCM and I am wondering how energy (etc...) flows in

the meridian after the exit point. Here is an example: the lung

meridian, its entry point is on Lu1 and exit point is Lu7. How does

energy flow to Lu11?

Thanks for any help in understanding this.

I don't think you have to see the #1 as an entry point all points seem to have

'entry and exiting energy ability. It is a way of keeping track of the meridian

point by numbering them. Conception 1 for instance does seem to be a beginning,

but it is also an ending point for the DuMai to start. Studying energy flows

that sometimes are irregular or stagnant is one good way to locate the points

that need work, your treatment might start with any point. The basics for study

of symptoms are usually the Conc 1....DuMai 20....Spleen 6...Kidney 1 and 3 etc.

the basic points are there to tonify or stimulate and to watch for a reaction

that can aid in diagnosis.
