Guest guest
Hello everyone, I joined this list recently because my interest in " alternative " methods of therapy/healing have expanded as a result of my mother falling ill with a rare bone marrow cancer called Multiple Myeloma. So with my mind racing everywhere, I'm having trouble focusing and carrying through with commiting to any type of healing therapy , be it Reiki, aromatherapy, crystals. I'm a huge procrastinator it seems. Here's an experience I'd like to share, that touches upon this whole procrastination nonesense. The other day I was walking my dog via our favorite route through a forest bushel (mini forest). I was looking at the trees, seized a moment and really " looked " at the trees, while every aspect of my life was set aside during that moment. I didn't hear the cars, I didn't think of my headache, I didn't think of my mother or my financial worries or anything. However, I thought of how nice it would be to hug a tree. Then that lil voice tuned in to say " well you can always hug a tree next time you and mutt come out for a walk " . I told that voice..nevermind, I'm doing it now. I looked ahead and saw the most perfectly sized tree that my arms would wrap around comfortably, there wasn't too much snow near that tree so I was able to step up to it and hug it comfortably. so I did. I hugged that tree with all my heart, I thanked the tree for being here and for being part of such a beautiful moment. Thank you for this moment to share my tree hugging experience. Much Respect, Sandy la la

That was beautiful and you made me teary eyed. How do you feel now? Did you retain a little of that peace and grounding from the experience when you left the area? I hope it stayed with you to help you cope. Sounds like you have a lot going on right now. Sharon
Guest guest
Congratulations on listening to your " positive " inner voice. Trees are wonderful to look at, experience their beauty and touch, and be " touched " by them. Please continue to Enjoy your walks with your dog through the trees--these are healing moments for you....
