Hi Acupunture and herbs might be a great idea too.

THe fibroids often are seen as a buildup of fluid due to poor circulation or

toxicity that is flowing doenwards and not properly removed by the body.

The toxins could be natural and your body is imbalanced or they could be

chemical and now you have reached a saturation point with a certain

chemical.

Either way the acupunture will hlep creat first a clean flow of qi and where

the qi goes the blood will follow. The removing of blockages in channel

flow is easily accomplished with acupunture. This will allow the body to

then remove any pools or puddles of fluid that have somehow managed to stay

fixed long enough to form a fibroid. Once proper circulation is established

oxygen and waste removal in the area will allow the area to revert back to

its natural healthy state.

In addition the acupunture will allow the spleen which rules fluid metablism

to work stronger and the liver to clean the blood properly and increase

kidney function.

The result in the beginning you should feel emotionally more balanced and

your sexual relations should become easier and circulation and complexion

should appear brighter with more colour.

Enjoy the effects that whole body health will give.

Also Vitamin E is great for fibroids taken vaginally. Look it up.

TCM is not that complicated if you do some research. Get your diagnosis if

you can and this will help narrow your research.

Still seems like a good idea after the two dry metal years to supplement your

diet with tablespoons of vegetable oil or fish oil. How to make fish oil...?

Oil + fish wait a few days and voila!

I am getting acupuncture (taking supplements too) for a small, submucous fibroid

and

other gynecological issues related to that (uterine polyp, thick endometrium,

abnormal

bleeding). I trust and really like my acupucnturist...she is extremely

well-known...she is

from Shanghai...was the chairman of the dept of gynecology at the Chinese

Medicine

University there...is a gynecologist...and has been doing this since 1965. She

also taught

at UC Santa Barbara. She saved the uterus of one of my friends...and has really

worked

miracles on people regarding fertility. She specializes in gynecological

issues.

HOWEVER, she doesn't communicate fluidly in English and it's not like I can

really ask her

all the details about what she is doing to me each time I go in. And I would

feel weird

doing so...since she's 'old school.' I am sure every practioner has thier own

methods....

But - can anyone give me a general idea of how acupunture can assist in

dissolving/

shrinking fibroids and correcting gynecological problems??...I hear from several

people

that in fact, acupuncture is MOST effective for female issues.

Is it increased circulation and blow flow to those areas? Can someone elaborate

on the

philosophy of it all for me?

I appreciate it greatly!

I am not at all following the fish oil discussion...it sounds something close

to lunacy to me. fish oil is actually oil from fish, there is no vegetable oil

in good quality fish oil. if you are saying fish oil is a good idea because of

the omega-3's, or evening primrose oil because of the prostaglandins, GLA's

then I say Kudos to you. BUT vegetable oil! Someone is not doing their

homework. And fish oil is less recommended than Cod liver oil because of the

rich amount of vitamin A and Vitamin D which are needed because of their

ability to help other vitamins and minerals digest properly.

On the 'vegetable oil' topic. I think you should examine the work of Mary

Enig Ph.D. and Sally Fallon for the best most current information on oils. It

has finally come full circle that polyunsaturated fats contained in corn, soy,

and canola oils (to name a few) are some of the biggest contributors to chronic

diseases in the US like cancer and heart disease. Go back and study the

benefits of coconut oil, olive oil (monounsaturated), palm oil, tallow, lard,

and goose fat to be used in the diet and as a mixing agent for herbal salves.

Please do your patients a favor and stop recommending oil until you know which

ones to recommend.
