I don't understand the big deal with heating foods in ways that keep

the food whole and healthy.

In fact I find most vegetables energy test (and digest much better)

mostly raw. Brocoli, carrots, califlower, all can be steamed in

about 5-7 mnutes at most and they are tender with a nice crisp.

If you use a Wok it's even quicker and you can cook your meat right

along side your veggies.

Very Tasty and just as easy as a microwave without all the toxic

tendencies.

So what would happen to the food if you energized it with the above

techniques after cooking it in a way that keeps the food healthy?

I would definately use these techniques to energize food that might

be questionable, when there is no other choice. And you could

utilize these especially when you want to eat something you really

shouldn't (like a big bowl of movie popcorn) energize it first so it

reacts with your body better.

Just don't really get the microwave craze. I don't even own one. I

found the only thing I used it for was to reheat my coffee (and even

then it never comes out tasting very good).

Hi kali,

I always used to cook my food in a wok and thought this was probably the healthiest way to do it - then I got talking to some pan manufacturers (not that they have a vested interest) who said that cooking food at anything above a certain temp will destroy the nutrients. they recommend buying their - very expensive - pots which cook food at a lower temperature. having tasted food that has been cooked in these pots it is clear that it does taste better. The difficulty for me is that there is LOADS of conflicting advice and research out there and without seeing the actual studies it is very difficult to know how valid they are.

Steaming veg is supposed to be ok and then along comes someone who says "No, you are still superheating the veg and this is bad for nutrients"......

That's why I would rather test so at least I know if my bod likes what I am putting in or not :)
