[CrystalHW] A proper introduction

 

 

Greetings to everyone,

I have been lurking in the background for a few months now and felt that i

should properly introduce myself. I have been enjoying the interaction on the

list....and will jump in there more often now that the Holidays are winding

down.

 

My name is Karen Johnston and i am an American living in Namibia. For those

of you that are saying " Where? " That is in Southwest Africa. We live in a

little town called Omaruru, which is a little oasis in the Namib desert. It is

summer here now, and it is hot, hot, hot!

I have been a goldsmith for about 30 years and my husband is an exploration

geologist/mineralologist/gemologist. We have a gems and mineral gallery here,

with mostly African minerals and gemstones. I have an 8 year old son who lives

here (today is his birthday) and a 25 year old son, and 24 year old daughter

that lives in Florida. I make it to the States once a year to see my children,

my grandson and the rest of my family.

 

When i first began in this business, i started cutting stones and i learned of

the different energies that each stone holds. When you hold a piece of rough in

your hands and turn it over and over (romancing the stone), and ask the stone

what it wants......sometimes you cut them and sometimes you leave them. When

working on other people's jewelry, you find that the stones and the metal

retains memories of the wearer's life. I found many years ago that i have the

ability to pick these memories up. Did you know that you can tell if a woman

has gone through a traumatic experience by looking at the color of the gold

(such as a chain) that she has worn? It turns the gold a purple color.

 

I started doing healing work in 1972, when i went to a course that teaches you

to do cases on people who are mentally or physically defected......based on the

works of Edgar Cayce. Throughout the years i have worked with mediums and

police departments in using the gifts that were given to me by the Powers Above.

I was adopted by a Miquan Apache tribe and given the name 'Runs with Thunder',

and became a pipe bearer by a Lakota Medicine Man. Since living in Africa, i

have worked with a Zulu Sangoma and learned " the old ways " using stones and

herbs and contacting the ancestors for help.

 

I believe that i was put on this planet to help people......and i do so with

the help of God, the Great White Brotherhood, many Spirit Guides and the

Universal Light force. Various stones are a part of the Light. I have noticed

that many of you are asking where to get certain stones..........we don't have a

web site, however, if you are unable to get what you want in the US, we have or

can get most of the stones that you have been mentioning......and the thing

is.....you would be getting stones at a better price because the stones that we

sell to different dealers are the ones that end up on Ebay! That is because we

live " next to the hole " and you are cutting out the middle man that ups the

price. Melody made a trip to Namibia and came past the house on a search for

crystals......however, we were not home at the time and missed her.....my

husband knows her husband. My husband will be going to the Tucson gem and

mineral show in about 3 weeks, so if any of you are having a difficult time

finding a specific stone, drop me a line and he would be able to bring it with

him and mail it in the States. I am not telling you this as a form of

advertisement......i am telling you this as a sister who wants to see crystals

travel to their destination and be used for the good of mankind.
