Guest guest
How do I sustain and realize a frame of mind from concept to fruition? This is a tough question, and even framing the question is difficult as you will see. Any answers are appreciated. Let us say, I conceptually understand the steps I need to realize a task, say I need to start and complete a project within a period of six months. When I wake up in the morning I am fully aware of what this project am very excited about it, know what I need to do to sustain my momentum towards it. However, as the day progresses and the needs of daily grind shadow and slip this high priority into a lower one. Conceptually, its easy to say, just do the job man, keep at it, don't be distracted.. and so on. However, there appears to be a frame of mind or a mental process that lets this priority slip. The passion I feel for the project in the morning, is no longer there during the day. It is much worse at the evening or night. It repeats itself the next day, and the next.. and so on... Perhaps some enlightened soul here knows the methods and algorithms that not only help to keep that passion burning 24/7, but help pragmatically realize that passion. Is there really a magic formula, a frame-work, an algorithm, a method ? Or is it... this is life buddy, deal with it? I fervently wish I could monetarilly afford the programs and methods offered by several, but as a hopeless romantic of life, am looking at scavenging though the free morsels of information that is thrown about here in bits and pieces. Thanks much for your words of wisdom!
Guest guest
Gnostic or bala424, Interesting... Have you read the back post to this group? Some observations inserted below. Greg R. ________________________________ On Behalf Of bala424 Thursday, June 09, 2005 11:46 AM Realizing a frame of mind from concept to fruition? How do I sustain and realize a frame of mind from concept to fruition? I think you just did it! This is a tough question, and even framing the question is difficult as you will see. Curious that you assume 'framing the question is difficult', could that be part of your specific challenge? Any answers are appreciated. So you don't care if the answers are valid... or if they only work for other types of people? Could specific methods be more appropriate for you? Let us say, I conceptually understand the steps I need to realize a task, say I need to start and complete a project within a period of six months. OK... but are you SURE you understand the effort that will be required for each step... what if that didn't matter, but instead you followed the Ode of Nike and Just Do it! When I wake up in the morning I am fully aware of what this project am very excited about it, know what I need to do to sustain my momentum towards it. By fully aware do you mean focused on success or focused on worry? Do you think or ask yourself questions that might install doubt or give you reason to move away from that task? Could you create a installation to attract you to the project steps... what should you be moving away from? However, as the day progresses and the needs of daily grind shadow and slip this high priority into a lower one. Conceptually, its easy to say, just do the job man, keep at it, don't be distracted.. Are you SURE you want to accomplish this objective? I mean you just turned it into a JOB!!! and so on. However, there appears to be a frame of mind or a mental process that lets this priority slip. The passion I feel for the project in the morning, is no longer there during the day. It is much worse at the evening or night. It repeats itself the next day, and the next.. and so on... Okay so you feel passion about the project when you wake up and start your day... what creates the passion, what gives it energy, what steps can increase that passion??? what decreases the passion and moves into a JOB?? If you can amp it up, and you can turn it down -- do you think you can learn to maintain it? Does time of day really matter? or not? Perhaps some enlightened soul here knows the methods and algorithms that not only help to keep that passion burning 24/7, but help pragmatically realize that passion. Is there really a magic formula, a frame-work, an algorithm, a method ? Or is it... this is life buddy, deal with it? Since you probably don't know me, or most of the people on the list, why do you believe there are enlightened souls here? Do you really want to install an obsessive compulsive disorder in your self to only have passion for this one project 24/7? Methods and algorithms -- Yes, the are in the back posts -- and the specific details are easy, depending on your state of mind and point of view. So you want 'pragmatism', but you think it is a 'magic formula' -- This is probably crystal clear in your mind, however I don't think just like you and have now become confused. I guess I'll just have to deal with it... I fervently wish I could monetarilly afford the programs and methods offered by several, but as a hopeless romantic of life, am looking at scavenging though the free morsels of information that is thrown about here in bits and pieces. Thanks much for your words of wisdom! Wishful thinking may make you feel good or bad, what steps could you actively take to afford the programs? Beyond that, the back posts or archives are FREE. You can read them, write them out, analyze them, learn from them, ask specific questions about them... Why do you assume FREE = 'morsels' = small amounts of information. Could you imagine that this group could be a gold mine of information? If it was, you might find yourself learning faster than you previously thought possible... I truly don't know what 'hopeless romantic of life' has to do with this. Could you clarify your thoughts and elucidate them for me? I do really want to know. Greg R.
