Guest guest
Hi Karalyn, Good question. First, let me say that while chronic conditions such as yours generally have some emotional aspects it is also possible to have physical aspects that need work on the physical plane whether or not the underlying issue is emotional or has emotional components. I say that because although the chakras are clearly involved it is not necessarily true that your emotional problem is that you have such a large fear of moving forward that it is the reason you have this problem. From my experience by the time an autoimmune disease manifests to the level it can be called that there are several factors which have been in play and regardless of the emotional, mental and spiritual aspects that are there these people often have imbalances caused by diet, overwork, stress, lack of sleep, etc., that has gone on for a long time and which must also be treated. That said I would say there are generally two main schools of Oriental Medicine known as TCM (Traditional ) and 5 Element. My suggestion in your case would be to get the names of people from either friends, the local health food store or the NCCAOM website and call them and discuss you situation and ask about there approach to healthcare and unspecific autoimmune diseases. A good Oriental diagnosis should be very enlightening as to why you have this particular problem and the combinations of acupuncture and herbal medicine should definitely help you!!! If you let us know where you are located it may be that someone here can help you or refer you to a practitioner. Guest guest
I would consider a complete Conception vessel....governor Vessel.. and Triple burner diagnosis. Karalyn <trueromanceau wrote: Hello. For a long time I have wanted to get acupuncture for a rare condition called Erythema Nodosum which is a form of pannicultis. basically it is an immune deficiency that makes the lymph nodes in my legs swell up and become quite painful. There is no known cause and I believe it has something to do with the emotions and somebdoy told me that in relation to chakras and the legs, it is a fear of moving forward (which I am not sure about as this does not sound like me). Anyhow I want to finally get acupuncture but I want to make sure I go the right kind of practioner. Can anybody help me as far as what to ask for when I get there, if there are different kinds of theories to this treatment to enure I go the right person and anything else that may be of assistance. Guest guest
Hi, cause the reason of Erythema Nodosum is complicated. Maybe is infection, maybe is immune related diseases. Western medicine may give you antibiotic and hormone. But that has side effects behind it and can't cure the disease. Depend my 28 years integrative medical experience in clinic, I think Chinese herbal medicine practice for you is stronger than single using acupuncture. The best way is to use Chinese medical tea, that you need to cook it by yourself. You can ask your acupuncturist or Chinese herbalist who has license to practice acupuncture and who has NCCAOM certificate on both acupuncture and Chinese Herbology, this is a basic requirement. You also need to ask the practitioner who has integrative medical clinical experience or not. Because if you need to use Western medicine, during you using medications the Chinese medicine using will be different. You can through the NCCAOM, Yellow page to find one near you, and ask the practitioner who hold certification, license and integrative medical clinical experience. Good Luck! Guest guest
Thank you to those that replied. You have been very helpful. I live in Australia and there is an area close to me that has many traditional chinese therapists so I should not have a problem finding somebody who can help with this treatment. Thanks again KARALYN xx
