Guest guest
Hello, I am a third year student at the Swedish Institute...and am very happy with the school. Currently I am in my second trimester of treating my own patients, and it is great. The really nice thing about Swedish Institute that is a bit different from the other NY acupuncture schools is the focus it has on the Classics of acupuncture. We not only learn TCM, but are also lucky enough to learn some about 5 Element, and a lot on Divergent, Luo, as well as Extraordinary Meridian theory and practice. Also in the third year, we study the classic texts- the Su Wen, Ling Shu, etc. I am finding this helpful, in that you get to see where a lot of acupuncture theory came from. Added bonus is a relatively small class size, allowing you a more personalized approach to learning. I highly recommend the school. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, and you 'll enjoy the classes. You can give a call and sit in on a class if you'd like, and can also find out about when their next open house.
