Let's put aside issues of " lack of will " and the reason why people turn

to these types of drugs as this issue is outside the scope of the the

original question and by reasons of the complexity of addition theory,

does not even begin to neatly explain why people take drugs... I'd also

like to add that there are many medicinal uses of opiates, for example

hospice care. I myself thank God that this class of drug is available

to help ease my mother as she is currently dying of Lewy Bodies

disease (a combo of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease).

 

Instead, back to the original question: When is the " cut off point " so

to speak in TCM for when opioids' warming nature turns cold???

 

I can only assume that it's different for everyone. There are

constitutional issues as well as preexisting imbalances to take into

consideration. The simple answer is to pay attention to the Tongue and

Pulse to figure out the right amount. TONGUE & PULSE people...theory

is great but don't forget the basics!!
