The Spleen is responsible for keeping things running in course as well as prolapsed plus I would look for Qi deficiency leading to lack of proper peristalsis and heat probably from deficiency but possibly not. Treating both should really help rectify the situation and the original cause. The herbs suggested would be good but without the formula it would be hard to say. Guest guest
Hi. I'd like to recomend u besides acupuncture, and chinese herbs, to use auriculotherapy. I do use it, and it's very good. It's important to get a correct diagnosys, for best resoults, but u can use despite of it, some points according to Huang Li Chun's school. They are: ANUS, RECTUM, and LARGE INTESTINE as local points. KIDNEY, as zang-fu point. Remember kidney rules urethra and anus. If u got the diagnosys, use points of the other zang-fu involved. As especific action points, use ENDOCRINE and if there's no problem with high blood pressure, ADRENAL GLAND can be used too.SHEN MEN might be good and LESSER OCCIPTAL NERVE too. This point will increase the action on anus point. To regulate, SUBCORTEX. If u need to raise yang qi, some other points must be used. Be confortable to make any questions, and to further information see: www.auryculotherapy-intl.com auriculotherapy Roberta
Guest guest
The only help I can be is to say the patient must starve. No solid food for as long as it takes. Teas and juices only. This is a treatment that can work, I do not propose to starve anyone. Zhou Xun <lingshu8 wrote:Hello Colleagues, I have patient who inquired about acupuncture treatment for anal fissure. I do not have experience treating this condition with AP, so I am turning to the lists for guidance. Patient has longitudinal tear in lining of anal canal, probably caused by traumatic laceration from hard stool. Specialists have tried everything from stool softeners to sitz baths to topical nitroglycerin, but fissure only healed about 50%. Now they are contemplating surgery to interfere with the cycle of internal anal sphincter spasm (in theory, cause of perpetuating condition). Surgery will involve internal anal sphincterotomy. Patients wants to avoid this surgery if at all possible. He heard that AP can accelate wound healing and relieve muscle spasm. But I do not know if it can heal anal fissure or relieve spasm of internal anal sphincter. I am considering " surrounding the dragon " with EA between GV01 and CV01, with distal points on UB channel, which Nei Jing says " enters the anus. " On internet, I find reference to one study, but do not have details or abstract (Yang WB, Kong FW. AP for anal fissure. AJA 1987; 15:384.) Does anyone on the lists have experience treating anal fissure with AP, or have suggestions? Thank you very much! Zhou Xun Calendar - Free online calendar with sync to Outlook. http://calendar.
