Guest guest
I vaguelly remember something like this, could it be usually reserved for wealthy patients in china? Ears are important and most meridians have a corresponding ear location. hforward2003 <hforward2003 wrote:My acupuncturist has put these tiny golden balls in my ear which are supposed to decrease my appetite. Guest guest
S/he has probably placed a pellet or magnet on you for auricular acupressure. The object is stimulating the appropriate reflect point to treat your particular condition. Leave it on for as long as s/he has instructed. This is a great way for you to continue therapy outside your practitioner's office. Tenderness is normal and a sign that the appropriate point is being stimulated; watch for signs of inflammation or discharge. Ionic pellets have occassionally been known to work their way into and underneath the cutaneous tissue, but this isn't a problem with either magnets or seeds. If you do have pellets, keep an eye on it to make sure it remains visible. Call your practitioner if you suspect it's begun tunneling inwards. Good luck with your treatment! The points the practitioner picked will determine the exact way in which you system can be rebalanced to reduce your appetite, or strengthen your metabolism, or strengthen your will power, etc. Let us know how you do!
