Guest guest
I see one problem right away with your comparison of male and female pathways - you're viewing the male loop from a " sagittal plane section " view and the female from a " vertical plane section. " And when do the male testicals descend? Before or after the KI channel is formed? -RoseAnne On Jan 18, 2009, at 3:41 PM, Stefano Marcelli wrote: > Hi all. > This is the first group of TCM practitioners, where I try to share a > little observation in the acupuncture field with a consequent > hypotesis. > > " In my opinion, the path of the Kidney Acupuncture Channel in the foot > as it is described in Traditional Classics, is > wrongly considered identical both in males and females. Guest guest
Dear RoseAnne, thank you very much for your message. You are right. I've just published also an image of female reproductive system on sagittal plane. You find it always at: http://www.meso.it/circleinkidneychannel.sagittal.en.htm Your other questions are very difficult to deal. I try: if the channels are the formative, creative forces, they must exist necessarily before the body exists. So, if this is true the testicles descend when the Qi in the channel begins to work in organizing the matter as cells, tissues etc. Stefano MD Acupuncturist in Italy. Guest guest
Hey, Stefano, It is an interesting topic! Do you have any date to support your figures? I am waiting for more information from you! Actually I was trained in both western and Chinese medicine ways I am in the US now. I have researched on acupuncture and herbal medicine treating illness which related immune function disorder recently, have a great clinical results, it not only heal asthma, allergies and also autoimmune diseases, like RA, hyper and hypothyroidism..., the treatment pattern also benefit to anti-aging,... I think, Chinese medical principle is treating illness based on analysis over all symptoms and tongue and pulse that mean is Chinese medicine includes acupuncture and herbal medicine could treat pathologic process of illness but not the symptoms, because of the symptoms, tongue and pulse are the expression of the pathologic change in western medicine. that is generally people said Chinese medicine treats root of the problem! I'd like hear from you and every one! Wanzhu Hou, C.M.D., L.Ac., C.H. All Natural Medicine Clinic 4801 Randolph Rd. Guest guest
Hi Wanzhu Hou. Figures themselves are data which support the idea. I deduce the difference between male and female kidney channels in foot-ankle because the sexual organs are very different for shape and function, also if complementary. Chinese herbal medicine doesn't need to be supported by qi channels system as acupuncture does. You could prescribe one herb or a combination of herbs without to know where channels and points are involved. The patiens say you " I'm very cold " and you will use a warming combination of herbs. The herbal treatment probably came after the acupuncture treatment, when old chinese (and also western people) had already lose the " qi vision " to which I refer in my observation and theory. If you open the chinese herbal bible tha is " Bensky and Gamble " book, very rarely you could find something about the channels, besides the generic " channel entered " row. Nearly everyone can feel that rou gui is acrid, hot and sweet, but I heard nobody says having felt it has entered the liver channel... We can perceive the organs as they are described in wester anatomy, especially when they are ill and changed in volume, but nobody can see the channels as they are described in the classic maps. Western science makes possible to see the bones by the mean of X-rays. Within a few years postmortem examination will not be necessary any more, because the CT examination will be enhanced enough to show us every anatomic detail without the doctors cut the corpses. I want to say that herbs are in sinthony with the actual way to feel and perceive. You see the herb, you taste it, you feel its by your senses. You cannot see, cannot taste, cannot feel the channels. And if someone can it, cannot absolutely demonstrate it. Last thing: amongs the senses we, as modern men, have elected the sight as dictator. Nobody would prefer being blind rather than deaf, blind rather than without taste or touch. For this reason I want the acupuncture to become " evident " .
