Yes, though I've never clicked them myself, I have heard from others here, and

on other groups that sometimes the links are to pornography sites.

 

The people who want to promote them (or jokesters who like to mess with nice

folks like us) sign up to groups just to send out the SPAM, and then leave.

This used to happen at my group too. We'd get junk mail for dating services,

etc., all the time.
