Guest guest
Hi Orna, Glad you and your dogs liked it! My dogs are my favorite audience and sometimes my teachers. A couple days ago I was taking a walk on the farm around dusk and was noticing how everything is just starting to get a hint of spring green and waking up from winter. Then I notice the soft glow of an aura around one of my dogs as she walked ahead of me. So I got the idea from seeing my dog's aura to see what else I could see out there.... .....so I looked at a Poplar tree in the distance and I noticed the glow of it's aura near the top of the tree. Then I noticed that the rest of the tree wasn't glowing as much as the top of it was. Then I noticed that the top of the tree is where all the new leaf buds were just starting to pop out. Seemed to make sense. Then I noticed some pine trees and noticed that the whole tree had a glow to it from bottom to top. That seemed to make sense too. I remember reading something about pines always having a lot of chi year round. So I went over to the group of pine trees and stood there for a few minutes basking in their glow, really appreciating them. Then I got the idea to do my five minute routine and the celtic weave while standing in the cluster of pines, so I slipped off my shoes and did them. Then I looked up at the sky, it was getting really dark now, and I saw the stars just starting to come out and I was feeling so good I couldn't resist doing the Connecting Heaven and Earth drill .....and I just finished that drill when all of a sudden the wind picked-up when only a moment ago it was had been as calm as could be all day. I don't know what that meant....maybe it's nothing?? I blessed and thanked the trees for the big boost of chi they gave me. Then my dogs and I went inside the house. I was feeling exceptionally good and full of vibrant energy. Two days later I still feel it. Thanks for reminding me :-) Lori , " simple " <simple wrote: > > Hi Lori > > What a great detailed answer > > I enjoyed every minute > > And did the stretching drill while reading > > My dogs were the only witness > > To their strange owner > > So many new things for me > > > > Thank you > > For your moving to action email > > Orna > > > > > > _____ > > > On Behalf Of > darthon4 > Tuesday, March 20, 2007 5:31 AM > > Re: So group, what should be done > to help him? > > > > With their permission, I'd start off with the test for cortisol belly > to see if that's what it is. Guest guest
Hi Lori Do you know about energy medicine In animals Where their chakras? lymphatic etc? I did not find In Donna’s book Is it the same as us? When I did NV to my Dog I have noticed he enjoys it and After few seconds he moved so it was difficult to Hold his NV So I figured out that that’s what he was needing It is interesting- I think they see energies I think it is not only looking at body language But also telepathically they understand us completely Orna On Behalf Of darthon4 Thursday, March 22, 2007 8:42 AM Re: So group, what should be done to help him? Guest guest
Hi Lori, Thanks for an awesome post. I have a question about the side stretch. Does it matter which way you cross your legs and arms? I am thinking of the modified Wayne Cook where you cross one way with your legs and the other with your arms. I was wondering if the same applied to this stretch. It feels great, by the way. The other way I was taught to increase the ability to touch your toes is to massage just under the ribs on the front of your body. I am also grateful to you for drawing my attention to the Regulator Flow. For some reason that one had never registered in my consciousness yet when I did it for the first time I could almost feel my body thanking me!! I am very aware of just how much I am affected by what I eat. If I stick as close as I can to no wheat, no dairy, no sugar, low GI foods I do relatively well. If I stray too far off that I can really feel it in my whole body. I actually got some sort of stomach bug or food poisoning the other week, I never get sick like that, but it was a fascinating wake up call for me as my body made it very clear what I could and couldn't tolerate. It also made me think long and hard about pushing myself too much at times and not allowing time for myself. I am being a lot more cautious about giving too much of myself and my precious time to others and really enjoying those quiet times and refusing to be drawn into "just this one little thing". Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Orna, Helen, She also had colored meridian charts for horses and cats. Not certain how to get a hold of them Orna. She was selling them at Donna's 5-Day Intensive. I'd check with Innersource.net (Donna's site) Orna, As for chakras, etc., I've been able to see my dog's and horses auras but not their chakras so far, though I can see people's chakras. Not certain exactly why that is, though have a theory as to why and am working on it. I don't always see All of the chakras on a person either, and don't know why that is. It varies from person to person. Maybe those particular chakras are really small or aren't opened very much yet on them, or maybe I am not able to see that vibration level yet because I haven't practiced enough? If I scan with my hands I feel them all though. I know they're there on the animals. I've scanned their energy with my hands and feel variations in the energy field that I think are associated with their chakras. If there's a trouble spot, like pain, I'll usually feel " prickly " static or very noticeable heat. It's a different feel than I get from chakras. The next person might sense it differently than I do, so have to practice and figure out how your senses work. Also, both my horses have a very bright, tiny spot of light at the very tips of their ears. Looks really neat on a dark night. I think those might be ear chakras (that's what I call them anyway), similar to the way we have tiny chakras at the tips of our fingers and at each joint. The ones on the very tips of my fingers are brightest. I noticed my dogs and horses really love spinal flushes. Also, one time when my dog got into a fight with some coyotes and was all shaken up, shivering with fear, I held his forehead NV's and he calmed right down in seconds. Then I traced his TW meridians backwards (started from his " temples " , smoothed behind his ears, then off his paws). He was back to his usual self again. So I think the same things that work on us will probably work on other mammals. Also there's your sincere intention which can work even if your technique isn't right on the mark. Have fun practicing! For those sideways stretches, it doesn't matter which way you cross first, just that you switch and cross the other way when you bend sideways the other way. Seems you've got it down. I learned it at one of the Donna Eden seminars. > > I am also grateful to you for drawing my attention to the Regulator > Flow. Thank Doc, he taught that one to us at one of his seminars. You can also do an anchor & wander technique with Regulators and it works well too. Oops! I feel my best when I greatly limit (not cut out completely) wheat, dairy, and red meat and shift the balance toward an alkaline diet (a.k.a. LOTS of vegetables and fruits)and some fish/seafood. I'm slim so I'd waste away to nothing really quickly if I cut out the grains and dairy completely. So Doc is right about cutting those out for a period of time if someone wants to lose weight fairly quickly. Orna - Donna's daughter Tatanya has an illustrated diagram that she sells with the meridians for dogs. She said that it shows the meridians the way Donna sees them. My vet had told me that the Chinese versions have never been documented as true (for acupuncture) Helen On Mar 22, 2007, at 12:37 AM, simple wrote: Hi Lori Do you know about energy medicine In animals ?Where their chakras? lymphatic etc I did not find In Donna’s book ?Is it the same as us When I did NV to my Dog I have noticed he enjoys it and After few seconds he moved so it was difficult to Hold his NV So I figured out that that’s what he was needing It is interesting- I think they see energies I think it is not only looking at body language But also telepathically they understand us completely Orna mailto: On Behalf Of darthon4 Thursday, March 22, 2007 8:42 AM Re: So group, what should be done to help him? Guest guest
Hi Lori, Helen , When my dog was recovering from disk Eruption in animal hospital I did him remote healing And felt his energy body very sharp i hold him he looked at me, I mean his energy body turned towards me And I felt his smile and good feeling From the remote healing The feeling was very real and alive It is true that the intention was very strong The second time the disk eruption happened I was a bit desperate and did not do Remote healing with the intention I had 4 months before And I felt and saw his energy Body more vaguely and the colour was Different the first time it was more blue The second time it was more grey And his recovery after the second time took much longer Interesting Orna On Behalf Of darthon4 Friday, March 23, 2007 4:58 AM Re: So group, what should be done to help him? Guest guest
Hi Elizabeth, Hope you are also feeling better I had bad food poisoning ( thinking it was the sausage on the pizza because I ate that and my wife didn't and I got sick and she didn't ) For 3 days it was Awful! Had to postpone sessions and send clients to other people. I spent that time doing LOTS of Hypnosis and Energy Medicine and EFT and so I felt better within that time where as everyone "told" me it would probably take anywhere from 10 days to 3 weeks. OK. And I am not a Medical Doctor yet I've studied a lot of Nutrition and so this is just friendly advice that has been helping me. What I've been doing lately to help speed my recovery is to eat about 3 yogurts a day and take Acidophilus, bifitta, etc. ( spelling? ) from GNC and that has been helping a LOT to feel more regular after losing so much from the food poisoning. Feel better soon! Michael Twomey P.s. I'm curious if you are mostly a Fire Element? Because I too, push myself too much and almost need a Coach to tell me to hit the showers ( I am a Hypnotherapist and Relationship Coach and most of my clients need and want motivation, etc. ) - Elizabeth Sleight 3/22/2007 5:46:43 PM RE: Re: So group, what should be done to help him? Thanks. Guest guest
Yeah - I seem to have time distortion working the wrong way -- where in the hell did the day go!! I remember a chapter from the book The 50 Minute Hour -- read it when I was 19 or so. One of the cases was about a guy who was bored all the time. Chronic ennui -- caused by fear of death. Time goes so slowly when you're bored. But, time goes slowly when you're fascinated, too..... Guest guest
Hi Michael, Thanks, yes, back to my normal self only even more aware than before which is a good thing. I did recover really quickly but it took me a couple of days for it to register that I was constantly homolateral. Once I realized I started doing the drills but would flip back again as soon as I stopped. And finding the energy and motivation was a challenge. I found that by combining drills, hook ups etc. I was able to stay balanced for longer and longer periods. I have no doubt that the speed of recovery was completely due to the energy work I did!! Yes, I did take probiotics as well. They are such a great help when stressed physically or emotionally. The weirdest thing for me was that for the first couple of days even the water tasted awful but I made myself sip all day to keep hydrated. No, I'm not a Fire Element. I have some Fire but also Earth and Water but I can't remember the balances of all the Elements off the top of my head. I am an expert at walking the middle ground, the peacemaker in the crowd. I'm not one of those overweight hippy ladies that Doc mentions though I'm a Bowen Technique practitioner and I treat people, horses and dogs. I am steadily building a great client base, almost all from referrals and absolutely love what I do. I also do some computer work part time for my husband's company, partly to help them out and partly to supplement my income. It was the juggling of the two that finally got to me. I work a lot of weekends when I am treating horses or traveling considerable distances and was then going on and trying to pack in a bunch of stuff during the week. I wasn't taking a complete day for myself, that's why I crashed so hard .. won't do that to myself again!! When I first started the Bowen work I used to travel long distances for one horse or person. My husband said I was crazy because I wasn't making enough money to make it worthwhile. The neat thing is that almost all of those "one treatments" have turned into multiples, often a full day of work, so it really paid off in the long run. I am NLP trained from way back and interested in your line of work too. I combine all sorts of stuff for some of my clients ... EFT (David Feinstein), NLP, Energy exercises. Those that are open really enjoy it and I have definitely spurred quite a few people into getting Donna's book. I take what I learn and teach it to others and often find that there are some great learnings that come back to me. I also encourage them to listen to their own bodies for what works and what doesn't. I have never worked on motivation, it is an area that I can get bogged down in sometimes while at others I run full tilt. Fascinating to figure out the differences! So much to learn and not enough time to cram it all in. There I go again!! Elizabeth
Guest guest
Hi Lori, Thanks for your help. It feels good the way I am doing it so I'm glad that you've confirmed my thoughts. I'm going to have to look up Anchor and Wander. I'm sure I've found it before, just not sure if I saved it anywhere. Yes, watching what I eat really helps. I'm not overweight, I weight only a handful of pounds more than 30 years ago, but I would like to drop maybe 3 to 5 pounds and flatten my stomach a bit. Your post fascinated me and once I looked up cortisol online it confirmed what I thought. Stress and hormones, an interesting and challenging combination! I have recently started snacking more, healthy foods, to try and eat every 3 hours or so to stabilize my blood sugar. I can't eat much fruit, it breaks down into sugar too fast for me to handle. I am eating more salads, less bread and the bread I eat is organic, wholegrain and very high quality from a local bakery. I agree with your way of eating and try to follow much the same plan. I really feel it those days I splurge, the next morning my energy is dragging and it takes a lot to get it running again. The more I learn the more fascinating it all becomes!! I love my work but it often involves helping others and in some very creative ways at times. I am learning to set boundaries but it can be hard because some of my clients have become really good friends. Interestingly, one of my clients and dear friend is fabulous at telling me to stop when I am overdoing it. She recognizes it in me because she is the same way. I've done so much to help her change so now she's holding the mirror up for me to see myself!! Mind you, treating her is a very energy intense experience but no longer draining. I find new clients far more draining at times which is why I love treating the horses. They share energy and give back to me in many ways. I always drive home with a big smile on my face and a feeling of deep contentment. Elizabeth
