Acoustic neuromas are non-malignant tumors that typically grow out of the inner auditory canal, which is basically a bony tunnel between the brain and ear. Since they share a confined space in this canal with the auditory and vestibular systems' blood supplies, acoustic neuromas can disrupt hearing and balance as they grow or swell. > I might be able to help you with something other than acupuncture as > well. Radiation usually stops their growth but often doesn't restore hearing. My understanding is that acupuncture can improve hearing, especially if used within six months, however, I'm hoping to find someone who is experienced with specifically treating acoustic neuromas.
