Guest guest
I saw combination of 'away from' propulsion -- 'getting worse and worse'.. and embedded command -- telling him to massage with peanut oil. When you went ahead and talked about his 308 sniper rifle after reminding him to try peanut oil massage, it made him associated peanut oil massage AND something he likes and feels proud of. Most importantly, you respected his model of the world. When he massages with peanut oil, he'll consider it as his own decision. Guest guest
Okay Doc, I'll bite. My guess is that when you told him, " Don't do it. Just let it get worse and worse...... " you were handling this man's tendency to be a polarity responder, and stacked that. Then " you switched to the topic of his NEAT sniper rifle " cos you wanted to exaggerate the contrast between something he found distasteful (pain) and something he really enjoyed. You elicted the positive anchor in such a way that he would have alot of room to swing over from the negative to the positive....perhaps creating room for him to see the LACK of pain as something to be enjoyed, as well. Yes, always open loops with your posts...people often appreciate and learn far more when they arrive at conclusions on their own. Yes? Or no? Guest guest
And, I realized I didn't completely answer your question in my last response. Your stacked presuppositions: You are pre-supposing that we are here to learn, and are following up by acting as if we are. This is what comes across loud and clear - all the way through - in your posts, and accompanying suggestions, how to's, tag-end questions, isn't that right? The learning is in the DO-ing.
