I have read that one set mentiones consists of two transparent precious stones set in an arch of silver which was fastened to an ancient breastplate curiously wrought. The breastplate was concave on one side and convex on the other. Four golden bands were fastened to it, for the purpose of attaching it to the shoulders and the waist or hips. Another description I have seen is of where a breastplates was worn made of electrum or higher frequency metals, combined with 12 stones enabling them to communicate with those who create and maintain this reality. There are many stones, crystals and minerals or metal that have incredible powers when used in meditation, prayer or contremplation. for instance if an incresed spirituality, visionary or prophsying abilities are needed, one could use one or a combination of, agate, amethyst (also increases sobriety and awareness, helps with understanding dreams), aquamarine (foresightedness, farsightedness and has visionary qualities and clairvoyance, " rock crystal would improve understanding and perseption " , Blue chalcedony, I believe chrysoberyl-alexandrite is one, Chrysoprase, Labrodite - spectrolite (fortifies intuition and mediumistic abilities), Emerald (clairvoyance), moldavite (enhanses clairvoiance and spiritual dimintions), Personal favorite for healing abilities Moonstone (increases mediumistic abilities and clairvoyance), prehnite I believe, Rhondonite, I believe topaz is one also. I know I have many missing from the list, though this should give you some idea of the stones probably used.
