Guest guest
As a beginning acupuncture student with some experience in chi kung, I was surprised to see a book on energy that has an image of what an individual acupuncture point looks like energetically - supposedly the author can 'see' energy, and that includes the acupuncture points - he says they have the same form as little tiny chakras. I am referring to the book Energetic Anatomy by Mark Rich, page 33. I was surprised because his book seems very credible, but I have not heard this mentioned elsewhere. Any thoughts? I also am very interested in the concept of being able to actually see the meridians - do any of you have this experience? It seems like it would add a lot to diagnosis. Thanks. Guest guest
I don't think that you can see meridians... but what you can see is changes of color along the meridian, or changes of the skin, something like that. I am not able to really see acupuncture points (is there anybody who can?), but of course you can learn to feel the energy in the point and to feel what the energy is doing. I remember the first time I felt an acupuncturepoint... it was amazing! ssnkwan [ssnkwan] zondag 23 januari 2005 19:36 acupuncture acupuncture Shape of acupuncture points and 'seeing' meridians As a beginning acupuncture student with some experience in chi kung, I was surprised to see a book on energy that has an image of what an individual acupuncture point looks like energetically - supposedly the author can 'see' energy, and that includes the acupuncture points - he says they have the same form as little tiny chakras. Guest guest
Meridians are like rivers, sometimes they are bloated and change shape and direction. I am studying my self as a runt triplet.. my conception and dumai20 seem in flux sometimes. Herding energies by tonifying other related or connecting points seems like a good idea if done with care. The healing benefits may come from stabilization of these rivers of energy called meridians. ssnkwan <ssnkwan wrote: As a beginning acupuncture student with some experience in chi kung, I was surprised to see a book on energy that has an image of what an individual acupuncture point looks like energetically - supposedly the author can 'see' energy, and that includes the acupuncture points - he says they have the same form as little tiny chakras. mark rich
Hi, I am the author of Energetic Anatomy, Mark Rich. You most definetly can see acupuncture points and a whole lot more! It requires special training, which I give in Energetic Anatomy. I have taught thousands how to do this. It is a great diagnostic tool, which can be added to general body condition, tongue and pulse evaluations.
