Guest guest
Josh I attended FBI around 1987. The school had just been open a few years then. It has changed administrations several times and is better than when I attended. One thing I didn't like was that they did not offer classes during the summer. Food and gasoline prices are higher than in neighboring San Jose and Monterey (45 minutes away) as can be expected in a tourist town. I believe the same teachers are still there. (Jeffery, Lucy, Sharon). Santa Cruz is a Great Area. Getting better for students since the economy has collapsed. Rents have gone down from an average of $800 to rent one bedroom (of a 3 bedroom house) to about $700 with more choices. Unities run about $40 per person per month. PGE (the local gas baron went bankrupt 2 years ago and has to rebuild its financial reserves). There is a lot of competition for jobs as the town is tourist and college (UCSC) dependent otherwise a very pleasant place to live. Coffee shops out number bars and taverns ten to one. Pacific Ave (downtown Santa Cruz main st) is great for people watching fantastic at Halloween (celebrated here as a national holiday). The acupuncture point Gall Bladder 43 has been adopted by the locals as the " Santa Cruz Point " . (from Felix Mann's indication: " For people who feel disoriented towards life and misguided " ). Hey Guys, I just got back from Santa Cruz, CA, where I visited Five Branches Institue of TCM. It's a smaller school right on the coast. I still have yet to visit Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, but my decision will be between these 2 schools. (I've visited 5 schools now.) I look forward to anyone's input or advice. I'll keep you posted. Thanks, Joshua D. Thompson Columbia, SC --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
