Guest guest
(Hi Group, I'm reposting this conversation between Fred and I since it is very important for the long term effectiveness of Energy Medicine, as well as for Energy Psychology, NLP, Hypnosis, blab, blab, blab, or Voodoo. " The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money. " —Margaret Thatcher And I'm not too much on talking, debating, but if you are talking about taking 'action'? That's the part that is very interesting to me. The how-to's. The part where we, with our own skills, beliefs and intentions can and do take actions for our own health, wefare (What a despicable word. Wealth and gathering of enough money is more about self-responsibility and is better used here) and happiness. We can all argue until we are all blue (or red) in the face and still nothing gets done. So, using Energy Psychology and Energy Medicine for personal and family health care is important to me. We've all got our druthers, but convincing others of 'this and that' seems futile and un-obtainable. I also appreciated these statements by John Mackey: " Rather than increase government spending and control, we need to address the root causes of poor health. This begins with the realization that every American adult is responsible for his or her own health. " " Unfortunately many of our health-care problems are self-inflicted: two-thirds of Americans are now overweight and one-third are obese. Most of the diseases that kill us and account for about 70% of all health-care spending—heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes and obesity—are mostly preventable through proper diet, exercise, not smoking, minimal alcohol consumption and other healthy lifestyle choices. " The bottom line; health care should not and will never start with the government. What it does start with is 'individual learning experiences'. If we don't learn, then the lessons get tougher. And if attention is not paid to those 'experience's', pretty soon we've failed that lesson. We are dead. So health care is NOT the care that others give us, but something totally different and always starts with 'self'. Or does it start with 'fear' of consequences for someone else? They are dying. We are healthy. So we search for something that will help them that we don't need for self. But if they don't do it also (for self) than that help is only 'stop-gap' at best. Been there. Done that. Not much fun. And in the long run, not benificial for them either. So with my clients, I'm pretty choosy on how and why I pick them. Becoming a Compliance Gestapo Leader is also not much fun. Being a 'teacher' and a 'coach' to those that want the skills you have and live by, is VERY FUN!!! John La Tourrette, PhD PS Kelmie, THANK YOU, the package arrived yesterday!
