I just took the CA state board, and that was the thing I was MOST resistant to learning. I don't believe in it at all ! Especially when it turns out you have to REDUCE Kidney 3- crazy. As for the channel names- taiyang, yangming, etc. I believe those came originally from the Nei Jing... and of course Zhang Ji used them later in Shang Han Lun in a slightly different (but related) sense for herbs.
